PRG 1616/12/466 On the north-west corner of Currie Street and Leigh Street, Adelaide. Established 1848. This building dates from 1871 and demolished in 1917. The unoccupied building which for so many years had been a well-known hostelry under the occupancy of Mr. Alex. Berkholz, situated at the intersection of Currie and Leigh streets, is being demolished. A large number of workmen commenced operations yesterday. The wall of the top storey facing Currie street was the first to be levelled."
