What

Eynesbury Senior College Students in collaboration with Bonnin Creative (artists and sister duo, Alice and Lucy Bonnin) will be installing an temporary artwork to celebrate National Science Week. This ‘pop up’ art can be found on the fencing next to the Eynesbury College Campus on the corner of Franklin and Morialta Street in the CBD.

The schools theme for Science Week 2015 is ‘Making waves – the science of light’ which is based on the International Year of Light.

“Light plays a vital role in our daily lives. It has revolutionized medicine, opened up international communication via the Internet, and continues to be central to linking cultural, economic and political aspects of the global society,” explained artist Lucy Bonnin.

The International Year of Light is a global initiative and aims to highlight the importance of light and optical technologies in lives worldwide. Science Week provides a unique opportunity to inspire, educate, celebrate and connect on a global scale. Students hope the artwork will inspire and bring a smile to who walk past.
